The Costa Rica Tax Reform law has been approved by the legislature. The tax bill that was being discussed in the Legislature as bill number 20.580 has been approved in the first debate. The bill now moves on to a 2nd vote and constitutional review prior to being implemented into law. There will be changes in the following specific provisions:
1. The Value Added Tax (VAT)
2. Income Tax Reform
3. Cost Containment
